Privacy Policy
VVSDB is a Virgin Voyages sailing database and community lookup tool connected with Fruglar booking support. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to contact us about your information.
Information We Collect
Account users may provide an email address, username, display name, avatar choice, location, bio, sailing interests, and optional Fruglar Cruise Club verification details.
Booking and Fruglar Perk inquiries may include your name, email, optional phone number, preferred contact method, selected sailing, booking notes, request type, and tracking fields such as source, campaign, referrer, and UTM parameters.
Facebook group suggestions may include a group URL, sailing label, notes, submitter email, and account ID if you are logged in.
How We Use Information
We use this information to run sailor profiles, show public sailor counts, review Facebook group suggestions, respond to booking or perk inquiries, and keep the sailing database useful.
Your email address is not shown on public sailor cards. Public profile elements may include your display name, username, avatar, and selected profile badges.
Who Handles It
VVSDB uses Netlify for hosting, forms, and serverless functions, Supabase for account and community data, and Cloudflare Turnstile for spam prevention when enabled. Booking inquiries may be reviewed by VVSDB or Fruglar team members who help with Virgin Voyages requests.
External Facebook group and Virgin Voyages links open third-party sites with their own policies.
Your Choices
You can avoid creating an account and still browse public sailing information. You can choose what profile details to save, and Fruglar verification details are optional unless needed for a perk check.
To request profile updates, account deletion, or data removal, use the contact page and include the email address tied to your VVSDB account or inquiry.
